LUNCHBOX IDEAS THAT AREN’T PB&J

Whether you make your kids’ lunches the morning of, the night before, or all at the beginning of the week, trying to figure out how to fill that lunchbox can make you feel like your brain is going to explode. I don’t do anything fancy– you won’t find sandwiches cut into unicorns here. The five lunchbox ideas you’ll see below are basically my weekly rotation, & I just sub out different sides based on what we have in the house. We’ve used YumBox lunchboxes for a few years now, & they’ve worked super well for us. I hope these give you a little inspiration when you’re stuck in a lunchbox rut!
MONDAY COMFORT BOX
cinnamon raisin bread cream cheese sandwich with crackers, apples, & peanut/almond butter
PICNIC BOX
veggies, crackers, hummus, fruit, cheese stick, granola (I add some applegate turkey slices for my one who likes meat!)
ITALY BOX
pasta (with a little butter), green beans, cheese, & grapes (I sliced the grapes vertically for my younger kiddos, & I added hot dog sliced into half moons for my one that likes meat.)
FIESTA BOX
cheese quesadilla, beans, rice (cook it in full fat coconut milk instead of water to make it more filling & a bit sticky/easier to eat!), fruit, cookies inside muffin cup
SNACK BOX
smoothie pouch, tortilla, popcorn & raisins, sweet potato puffs, cheese
Happy Lunching!
