My Favorite Things– The March Edition
Vogue did a series a while back where they conducted single take video interviews with celebrities, finding out what they were loving at the moment. Many of the videos were filmed in the person’s home or somewhere special to them, further letting us see into their lives. I enjoy that sort of thing, when it’s a person I’m interested in, because I like the feeling of knowing a person. The behind the scenes parts of a movie or tv show has always hooked me, too. It’s unscripted. It shows the work that goes into the final product, or we learn about certain things people like to never be without. It isn’t just celebrities, though. I’m all for learning about new products or ideas that fit into my categories of interest, often from friends. (This is where you come in.)
So I thought I’d share some of my recent favorites here—maybe you’ll find something new to sweeten your day!
Disclaimer: I am in no way endorsed by these brands. Mainly because they don’t know who I am.
Because who wouldn’t want a deodorant with coconut oil and mango butter in it? Right now, I’m using the Lavender stick, and it feels more like primping than smell-prevention. You can order the goods from their website or off Amazon—win!
When I was trying to find a lotion that not only soothed my eczema but helped it go away, this was the winner! It feels so luscious on any dry skin. I like the Goats ‘n Oats butter—and I use their bar of soap, too. For anyone who has dry or sensitive skin, this one is for you! Order it from their website.
I could write poems about this stuff. It tastes like nutty chocolate frosting, and who doesn’t want that in their lives? Collins thinks it’s the only way to eat an apple, and really, I agree. However, it’s also good just on a spoon.
I told Blake I hated putting plain old Almond milk in my coffee because it made it taste watery, and he brought this home to me. Can’t stop. So good. More coffee, please.
Once upon a time, I used to wear makeup every day. What? But those days are over, and I love letting my skin breathe as much as it can. However, when we go somewhere and I’d like a little color splashed on my face, I pull out my little magic gizmo. My red lipstick. It can’t be just any color. There’s something about red that gives a boost of confidence. And I don’t care how silly that sounds. Try it, and you’ll see. I bought mine in a little four-pack at Ulta.
And as Julie Andrews would sing, These are a few of my favorite things!
